The International Health Care Center is ready to serve foreign residents, travelers, and/or visitors from all around the world.The International Health Care Center at Gangnam Severance Hospital has been opened since August 1. 2001. Gangnam Severance Hospital offers 810 beds and operates 35 divisions including 3 specialized hospitals (Cancer Hospital, Spine Hospital, and Dental Hospital) and institutes (Rehabilitation Institute of Muscular Diseases,and TheSpine and Spinal Cord Institute). Additionally, there are several centers such as Health Promotion Center, Cardiovascular Center, Endocrinology and Diabetes Center, Cerebrovascular Center, Emergency CareCenter, Hospital Referral Center, and Clinical Trial Center which manage and care the critical patients.

1. Gangnam Severance hospital has three specialized hospitals(Cancer, Spine, Dental),
1) Cancer
* Offers multi-treatment systems for each cancer. Doctors visit patients to care them
* Specialize in gynecologic cancer (thyroid, breast, cervical, and ovarian cancer).
* Offers‘one-stop service’ of treatment, surgery, and radiation therapy by operating 6 radioisotope clinics for thyroid cancer patients.
* Performs pediatric cancer surgeries with endoscopy. Also performs prostate, colon, and lung cancer surgeries with Da Vinci surgical robots.
* Special coordinators offer educations and counseling services about each cancer.
* Offers plans for good diet and nutrition for treatment and prevention of cancer.
2) Spine
* A single-stop treatment system that provides examination and diagnosis within a day for the patient's convenience.
* Equipped with advanced equipments such as CT, MRI, DITI(digital infrared thermographic imaging) and PET
* Provides a rehabilitation treatment program to patients
* Provides spine stabilitazation programs including physical therapy to patients who have undergone surgery.
* Provides preliminary education programs and spine programs for patients and their familes including the proper ways to care for the spine following surgery and dietary information.
3) Dental
* Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery : Operation of specialized clinics including Temporomandibular Joint Clinic and Adult Orthognetic Surgery Clinic.
* Department of Orthodontics : Utilizes a diagnosis method with three-dimentional images. Raises the levels of esthetic satisfaction by using transparent brackets and lingual brackets.
* Department of Prothodontics : From 1989 through today, the department has installed more than 5,000 implants recording a success rate of over 95 percent.
* Department of Periodontology : Performs various operations to regenerate periodontal tissues. Operates a recall system to prevent reoccurances.
* Department of Oral Conservative Dentistry : Performs various treatment to maximize esthetic effect and presevatio of teeth.
2. specialized centers of the main disease are Cerebrovascular Center, Heart Center, Endocrinology and Diabetes Center, Endoscopy Center, and the Health Promotion Center.

Timothy J. LeggGood experience so far. I was surprised when I needed additional eye drops that I was charged 400 baht. I understood that all medical supplies and future check-ups were included in the price.

Your help and willingness to step forward to make this all happen so sucessfully is really appreciated. I initially felt like Medigo had dropped the ball in scheduling my procedure. You did everything to assure me it would be taken care of then followed up to make sure everything was done. Wonderful service.
