Introduction

Professor Ahn is best known as the surgeon who carried out 20,000 cases by 2017, recorded the highest number of breast cancer surgery in Korea and the world. For the first time in Korea, skin and nipple preserving breast cancer surgery was successfully preceded by him. And numerous patients are currently being favored by his highly seasoned surgery.

It is often mentioned by his patients that Dr Ahn was the only doctor who willingly fought with their cancer when the others gave up on it because of its advanced stage requiring extraordinary expertise.

Professor Ahn acquired his Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD in medicine from Seoul National University, one of the renowned medical schools in Korea. After becoming a professor in Korea, he further enhanced his expertise by attending as research scientist at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Harvard Medical Center, USA. Ahn mainly focused on developing surgery techniques to increase the quality of life of patients.

His stunning career was only possible as Professor Ahn has been consistently striving to develop himself from the moment when he first entered to medical study, until now.
